A-Math - Coordinate Geometry - Find the Equation
of a Circle given Two Points and a Line.
Topic: Coordinate Geometry |
In most Coordinate Geometry problems, it is useful to sketch the graphs as
it provides visual clues on how to solve the problem.
All points on the circumference to the center of circle O is equal. The length
form the radius of the circle. In step 2 and 3, I use the formula\(\sqrt {{{({x_1} - {x_2})}^2} + {{({y_1} - {y_2})}^2}} \)
to find the length between A and O.
In step 4, I use the standard form to express the equation i.e \({(x - a)^2} + {(y - b)^2} = {r^2}\)
