E-Math - Numbers, Ratio, Rate and Proportion-

Square root, HCF and LCM

E-Math - Numbers, Ratio, Rate and Proportion-Square root, HCF and LCM

Here is an easy way to remember how to find HCF and LCM.
HCF-Take  the smaller common number and exclude the "loners".
LCM-Take the bigger common number and include the "loners"

A factor is smaller then a multiple most of the time. At most, a factor
will equal its multiple. For example factors of 6 are  1 X 6, 2 X 3, while
a multiple of 6 is 6, 12, 18... Therefore in order not get confuse between
LCM and HCF always, remember that HCF will give you a smaller
 number than  LCM.

About Unknown

I created this Blog after my students told me that there is very little information about how to solve GCE O Level Math and Additional Math (A-Math) questions on the internet. Even if they manage to find, the solution were for very basic questions. I am a Full-time Math Tutor in Singapore. I tutor mainly in Northern Singapore (Woodlands, Chua Chu Kang, Bukit Panjang, Yishun and Sembawang). I also tutor in Johor Bahru.
