Find the coefficient of the powers of x

This A-Math Video tutorial show you how to use the r-value to find for the coefficient
of a certain power of x. There are two ways to find the coefficient of a Binomial Expansion.
The first is to expand all the terms, this will be ok if you have 4 to 5 terms. but what if
you have 15 or 20 terms?... Hmmm. A short-cut/ better method is to find the r-value. Remember,
In binomial theorem \({T_n}\; = r + 1\). This means that the term (T) of a binomial expansion
is one more that the r-value. So if you can find the r-value, you can find the term or
the position of a particular power of x in a binomial expansion.

I created this Blog after my students told me that there is very little information about how to solve GCE O Level Math and Additional Math (A-Math) questions on the internet. Even if they manage to find, the solution were for very basic questions. I am a Full-time Math Tutor in Singapore. I tutor mainly in Northern Singapore (Woodlands, Chua Chu Kang, Bukit Panjang, Yishun and Sembawang). I also tutor in Johor Bahru.
