Change the entire equation to sine, cosine or tangent. In the example
 above, the equation was change to cosine. Form a quadratic equation
 and solve for x. You also have to bear in mind that in trigonometry,
sine x and cosine x CANNOT be greater then 1. Google  sine or
cosine graph and take a look at the max and min value of the y-axis,
you will see that it between 1 and -1 inclusive.
