E-Math - Quadratic Equations -Word Problems (3)

 

 

Here is tip if you have problems finding the expression in a). Try
substituting a number for x, say '2' . Then ask yourself, if the price
is $2/litre and the cost is $320. What should you do to get the number
 of litres?  You will probably say $320/$2. So the expression is $320/x.
Do note the x=2 is NOT, the answer to the equation, It is just a number
you substitute to make it easy to find the expression.
