Suggested Math Topics to Revise During the Holiday.
For Students Taking the O Level A-Math / Math in 2016.
Based on my experience, the topics listed below are the ones that students easily forget , do not understand thoroughly or just find it plain difficult. I assume that your school teacher has already taught you the topic below this year and topics were taught in sequence i.e. your teach did not jump topics.

1.Indices - Revise the Laws of Indices.
2.Quadratic Equations - Completing the squares and Graph Sketching.
3.Congruence and Similarity - Ratio of Length, Area and Volume of Similar Figures.
4. Applications of Trigonometry - Problems about Bearing and 3-Dimension Problems.
5. Arc Length, Sector Area and Radian Measure - Entire Chapter.
6. Properties of Circles - Entire Chapter.
Subject: Additional Math
Topics - Sub-Topics
1. Quadratic Equations - Sum and Product of Roots, Discriminant.
2. Surds - Rationalizing the Denominator.
3. Partial Fractions - Repeat Factors, Quadratic Factors and Improper Fraction.
4. Modulus and Power Function - Sketch Modulus and Power Graphs.
5. Binomial Expansion - Find the term, the coefficient and 'n' value.
6. Coordinate Geometry - Entire Chapter
7. Logarithms- Logarithmic Equations and Application Questions.
8. Linear Law- Entire Chapter.
9. Parabola and Circles - Entire Chapter.
Its better to prepare yourself early, cause when school term starts next year
it will be a big rush as your school teacher will try to complete the syllabus
as quick as possible, they will not have time to revise the previous year chapters
till April just before the Mid -Year Exams. By then most of you will probably
forget a large chunk of what was taught the previous year.
It is perfectly fine to enjoy yourself during the holiday, just try to make some
time for revision so that you will not be in a state of shock when school term starts.
