E-Math - Vectors - Vectors in a Parallelogram

In a Parallelogram, the opposites sides have the same vectors, In the
first diagram from the top , AB//DC = 6a and AD//BC = 4a.

To find the Area Ratio in b) you need to find the magnitude/length of the
base and use the common vertical height (h) that the two objects share to
 find their areas. It is not easy to see the triangle when there are so many
distracting lines. I suggest you draw out the triangles to have a clearer
picture before you solve.
